Are You Eligible for TSLPRB 2026?
Before you begin your intense preparation journey, you must confirm your eligibility. The TSLPRB has strict requirements across three main pillars: Education, Age, and Physical/Medical Fitness.
1. Educational Qualifications
The qualifications depend on the specific post you are applying for. Crucially, your certificate must have been issued on or before July 29, 2026.
- For Police Constable (PC) Posts: Must have passed Intermediate (12th standard) or its equivalent recognized by the Telangana Government.
- For Sub Inspector (SI) Posts: Must possess a Degree awarded by a recognized Indian university. Distance education degrees are accepted if recognized by UGC/AICTE.
- For Fire Fighter / Station Fire Officer: You must additionally possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license as on July 29, 2026.
2. Age Limits (Including the 5-Year Relaxation)
The Telangana government has granted a massive 5-year relaxation for uniformed services in 2026.
- Constable (PC): Effective general age limit is 18 to 27 years (as on July 1, 2026).
- Sub Inspector (SI): Effective general age limit is 21 to 30 years (as on July 1, 2026).
- Relaxations: SC, ST, BC, and EWS candidates receive an additional 5-year relaxation on top of this. Widows and divorced women have separate, higher age limits.
3. Physical and Medical Standards
Beyond education and age, your body must meet specific metrics:
- Height: Men (General) must be at least 167.6 cm. Women (General) must be at least 152.5 cm.
- Vision: Distant vision must be 6/6 in both eyes. Near vision must be 0/5. Color blindness or squint is a strict disqualification.
